“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God”. (Matthew 5:8)

‘How to live a holy life in today’s times?’ is one of the prominent questions asked by youngsters, these days. But the Bible tells us that, when you have a pure heart, you will see God. Satan lures you to the pleasures of this world today just like he tempted Jesus (Matthew 4:8). However, if you keep your eyes fixed on the Lord, you will be able to overcome temptation and lead a holy life.

Once a pastor walked through the woods, and a monkey asked him what he should do to go to heaven since he desired to see heaven. The pastor not knowing what to do gave the monkey a banana and instructed him not to eat the fruit until he returns to the forest. The monkey couldn’t resist and ate the fruit. When he returned, he asked the monkey to give back the banana, but the monkey could only give the banana peel instead.
SCRIPTURE to LIFE

Likewise, we are tempted by the pleasures of this world, and when we are not strong in the Lord, we give into sin. When we look unto Jesus and follow His statutes, He will anoint us with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will help you lead a holy life; a life pleasing to God. So, spend time in prayer, reading and meditating on God’s word.

Prayer:

Blessed Lord, I come before You with all my weakness. Lord, fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to lead a righteous life in Your sight. Give me a clean heart and strengthen me with Your Word.
