Cling To The Lord And Never Give Up

“The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing”. (Psalm 34:10)

You may be going through the valley of tears and agony; waiting for the ray of hope to make things better in your life. Today, I want to encourage you with this promise, “The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing”(Psalm 34:10). As you lead a righteous life, you will never lack any good thing.

Hagar and her son were sent out of the family and were left to live by themselves. She was wandering in the desert, not knowing what to do. After the water ran out and there was no water source, from where she could draw for her son. She left her son under a bushel and said, “ I can’t watch the boy dying. She sat nearby and began to sob” (Genesis 21:16). Hagar was driven to the verge of death, because of her afflictions.

Also, in the Bible, we read about Naomi, who also underwent a hard time during her life. Initially, she was living a very joyous life with her husband and two sons.Since there was a famine, where they lived, they moved to a place called Moab. There her sons got married. But suddenly, her husband died and after almost 10 years, her sons too passed away. She was left alone with her 2 daughters-in-law. Life became very pathetic for them. When her relatives came to comfort her, she refused to be called Naomi and said, “Call me Mara, because the Almighty has made my life very bitter” (Ruth 1:1-20).
In the year 1969, my husband fell very sick. Both his lungs were affected and doctors told me, “ Your husband may not live longer than a month”. I was shattered. And my husband started to tell me, “ Day after day, I’m growing very weak. I don’t know when I’ll die”. This made me even more devastated. I just clung to the Lord and cried out to Him. God answered my prayers and healed my husband miraculously. He also started using my husband mightily in the ministry.

My dear beloved, don’t come to the conclusion that everyone has deserted you and your life has come to an end. No, it’s not. Just cling firmly to the Lord. The Lord has abundant blessings in store for you and your loved ones, “You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God. No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate” (Isaiah 62:3,4).The Lord didn’t forsake me nor the women mentioned in the Bible: Hagar, Naomi. This God was the same yesterday, is the same today and forever and will never forsake you too. The Lord will bless you and wipe away all your tears. Trust Him and never give up!

Prayer:
Mighty God, I place all my worries at your feet. Deliver me out of my hard-pressed situation and bless me in all my undertakings. I place my trust in you, for you are a God abounding in steadfast love and will never forsake me.

In Jesus name, I pray.
Amen
