You will Shine

You will shine
Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
“Arise, shine, for your light has come” (Isaiah 60:1)

The Bible says that Jesus is the true light, who gives light to everyone (John 1:9) and in John 8:12 Jesus says, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Moreover, as we know, the whole world lies in the power of the darkness where the devil prowls around like a roaring lion to make you fall into the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes and pride of life.  What can you do to get rid off of this trap?

Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran, at the age of 20 received the divine light into his heart. That was an unfavourable time in his life when the devil made him to walk in the darkness.  But, one fine day, the devil lost the grip from his life.  Yes, he was led by his uncle to Jesus Christ and it sparked a question in his heart, “What is a true Christian life?”  At that moment, God spoke to him and brought all of his weaknesses before his eyes and he could see it like looking in a screen. Immediately, he knelt and prayed, “Lord, I am a sinner.  Wash me with Your blood and make me clean.  Help me to live for You.”  And God’s work did not stop with that! In few years, God filled him with the Holy Spirit and fulfilled this promise “Arise and shine.  Your light has come” by using him in a challenging manner to spread His gospel all around the world.
If you too devoutly kneel in the presence of God and plead for His light to shine into your life, for sure He will rid you off of all your weaknesses and the surrounding darkness from your life. Lighting a candle would immediately dispel the darkness from the room.  Is it not? Therefore, lighting your life with His presence would grant you a brand new life free from darkness. And you will arise and shine according to today’s promise! The Lord who made Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran to shine brightly is waiting today to cast out the darkness from your life and cause you to shine gloriously.

Prayer
Loving Lord, I need You to save me from the dark clutches of the devil.  I cannot save myself.  I pray that You would cause me to shine as a child of light.  I know that it is not Your will that I should perish. Help me to walk in Your light.  I thank You for doing this.  In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.
