Let the Lord establish your house!

Let the Lord establish your house!

Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

I tell you that the Lord will build you a house. (1 Chronicles 17:10)

Those who trust in the Lord will lack nothing! King David was a perfect example to it. David loved the Lord very much. He walked in ways pleasing God and fulfilled His will in his life. Therefore, the Lord called him a man after His own heart (Acts 13:22). In addition to this, He also said that David’s house and his kingdom will be established forever. “And let the house of Your servant David be established before You.”(II Samuel 7:26). Today, what is the state of our house? Do we seek the Lord with reverence as an individual, as a family? Do we read the Scripture carefully and do the right things in the eyes of the Lord? (I Kings 15:5). Do we fulfil His will with reverence and walk in ways pleasing to Him? The Lord will make your house to be established before Him only when you walk in the way that is pleasing to Him.

A homemaker came to the “Family Blessing Meeting” with a great burden because her family life was broken. Through the word of God, she realised how much she lacked in seeking God. During prayer time, she looked to the Lord to forgive her and give her a new life. And the Lord forgave her and filled her with His divine peace. So, she continued to attend such prayer meetings. She sought the Lord resolutely by reading the verses from the Scripture and by prayer. A new faith that “the Lord will build my house” arose in her. The Lord heard her prayer and made her husband return to her. Thereafter, both of them became good witnesses for the Lord and started to pray for families that were broken like theirs, and became a source of blessing to such families.
The Lord will do the same in your house and family. He will mend broken relationships between the husband & wife, parents & children. The key to have a blessed home is to have Christ as the head of the family. When you give the Lord complete control of your family, He will certainly build your family and establish your house.  “I tell you that the Lord will build you a house.” (1 Chronicles 17:10). Just as He had promised to His saints, He will perform miraculous deeds in your family.  Make it a habit to sit together as a family thanking and praising the good work of our Lord.  He will be pleased to shower His blessings upon your family. Your house will be established by God almighty.

Prayer:
Sovereign God! You established the house of David by Your divine love. Likewise, let my house also be pleasing in Your sight. Remove all our shortcomings and fill us with Your holy presence. Let my house become a house of prayer where the fragrance of prayer rises up to You always. Let it be established as a holy household before You forever. In the mighty name of our Lord Jesus I pray, O Father, Amen.
