Faith Working Through Love

“…. But the greatest of these is love”. ( 1 Corinthians 13:13)

The Bible talks about three most important virtues in the spiritual realm: faith, hope and love and the greatest of these is love ( 1 Corinthians 13:13). Through love, you express your faith. As faith is a powerful tool, that can turn your impossible situation to possible.

When I was working in a bank in Tamil Nadu, the doctor who treated me during my sickness introduced me to an engineer. And it happened so that I already knew this engineer. Now since the doctor was aware of my miraculous healing; he wanted me to pray for the engineer’s wife. Saying this, he took me to the hospital where she was admitted. Many higher officials had come to visit her. They all looked at me with an intent of helping the lady and make her well again. I didn’t know what to do, as most of them practised different faith. Anyway, I went to the hospital room and saw that she was battling for life. Her husband right beside her was in much pain and agony. As I looked to the husband, the Holy Spirit reminded me of his benevolence nature. At that very moment, I was filled with the love of God. And His presence was strong, so much so, that I didn’t realize of laying my hand on her head and praying in this manner, “ Lord Jesus, I thank you for your presence. Let this body be healed in your name. Let her life come back”. Soon after praying I made my way to the exit.
Within few seconds, the doctor came running behind me and told me that a miracle has happened. He was taken aback by what he witnessed: the lady being cured completely and rising to her feet. He was really amazed. This miracle moved me, as well as all the others who were present there. It is the priceless love of Jesus, which instilled in me, such a great faith.

Yes, my beloved, it is the love of Christ for you, for your family and for all your dear ones, that you receive His blessings day-in and day-out. When you taste the love of Christ, you will never be the same. As the psalmist says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good and blessed is the one who takes refuge in him” ( Psalm 34:8). When you are filled with God’s love, your faith will be strengthened. As faith is a glorious gift from our loving Heavenly Father. And those of you, who ask for it, will receive it ( Matthew 7:7-8). And when you receive this gift of faith, a great confidence will arise in your heart which will make you shine for the Lord.

Loving Heavenly Father, fill me with your love and grant me the gift of faith. Let me never waver in my faith, on account of any troubling situation. For I believe your love for me is immense and you will never leave me nor forsake me.
In Jesus name, I pray.Amen
