The Blood Of Christ Cleanses You!

“…. the blood of Jesus purifies us from all sin”. (1 John 1:7)

The blood of one sinful person cannot redeem another sinful person. But, only the blood of Jesus Christ, can purify and make us whole, “…. the blood of Jesus purifies us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). Because only the blood of Christ, “is precious, without blemish or defect” (1Peter 1:19). And that’s the reason, Jesus boldly challenged and said, “Can any of you prove me guilty of sin?” (John 8:46). Jesus shed His innocent, spotless and precious blood and washed away the sins of the entire humanity.
One day, a little boy was playing in the street just close to a construction site. The workers had placed stone, cement and limestone as barriers. Accidently the boy fell on those barriers and the limestone fell in his eyes. His eyes were burning and the little boy couldn’t bear the pain. On hearing this, his mother came running to see him. Meanwhile, a physician residing in the village was called for. The doctor asked for the blood of either a lamb or a cow immediately, so that it can be poured into his eyes to clear out the limestone. Since they couldn’t find the blood of either of the animal, the mother was willing to give her own blood to clean her son’s eyes. The doctor used the mother’s blood and the boy got back his vision. It was because of the love and affection of the mother, that the boy got healed.

The love of our Lord Jesus Christ, is incomparable. The mother shed her blood only for her son. But, Jesus shed His unblemished blood for the entire humanity. The Bible tells us, “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities” ( Isaiah 53:5). God’s love is so immense for you, that He doesn’t want anyone of you to perish and so the invisible God took the human form; to deliver you from all your sins.

My dear precious people, don’t think, that you are forsaken by the Lord because of your sins or your shortcomings. In fact, the Bible tells us that “The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love” (Psalm 145:8). Yes! He is a loving Heavenly Father and as you cry out to Him and repent of your sins, He will surely forgive you. He will cleanse you from all your transgressions and give you a new life and will grant you the joy of salvation.

Prayer:
Loving, Gracious heavenly father, I come before you and seek your forgiveness. Wash me and cleanse me by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. I repent of all my transgressions. Help me to follow your statutes and lead a holy life.

In Jesus name, I pray.
Amen
