“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it”. (Isaiah 30:21)

There may be times when you need clarity and direction in life. You may be fairing well in all your undertakings, but at one point of time, you may feel completely lost. If that’s the case, here’s the promise of the supreme being- God Almighty, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it” (Isaiah 30:21). Yes, Lord Jesus Christ alone can lead you in the right direction. As Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6).

But whom is He going to guide in this manner? He will lovingly lead all those who are His own and you are His chosen. Because that’s the way, He led His chosen people- the Israelites as recorded in the scriptures “ By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light” (Exodus 13:21). As you surrender yourself to the Lord, He will abide with you and will lead you as a light to your path.

Once a man along with his family was going from one village to the other. Since there were no transport facilities, they had to walk their way through thick jungles. As they were walking, they realised they had lost their way in the middle of the jungle. They didn’t know what to do.They dreaded the wild animals too. But the greatest blessing they had as a family was their love and dedication towards Lord Jesus Christ. So, they knelt down and prayed fervently. To their surprise, they saw a person passing that way. Though they had waited for a long time, yet they did not see anybody in that vicinity. But since this happened soon after their prayer, they were delighted and exclaimed, “The lord has sent His angel to go before us”. They spoke to the person and found the right way out of the jungle. Thus, they received a miracle and being led by the Lord reached their destination safely.

My dearly beloved, if you seek the Lord like this family, He will be with you and guide you. He will go as a pillar of fire to give you light and lead you. Not only that, God will also protect you from all harms and dangers. As the psalmist says, “The Lord will keep you from all harm, He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:7-8). You have God’s protection even without knowing it. This is the loving nature of our Heavenly Father. Therefore, seek the Lord and place your complete trust in Him and He will lead you in the way you should go.
