Rise again!

“Humble yourself, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may lift you up in due time” — I Peter 5:6. This is today’s promise. My friend, God wants to lift you up. Let not your heart be troubled. You may wonder how long you are going to sink, deeper and deeper and deeper, into desperation and losses in your life. But God says, those who wait on the Lord shall rise up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary, because of the strength that comes from the Lord. The Lord is our refuge, our strength, a very present help in times of trouble. God’s mighty hand. 

Many years ago, my father was sinking. His lungs had failed. Yet, God had spoken to him before that, saying he would be used mightily in the healing ministry. But then the attack came. He was dying. Lying on his deathbed, he saw a vision. He saw himself walking on a high mountain, on a narrow path. But suddenly, the path stopped. Ahead was a deep ravine. If he fell, it would be the end. To make it worse, dark figures were jumping up, trying to pull him down. They shouted, “He’s taking our people away from us! We want his blood!” My father was terrified. But then, a hand came from heaven. The nail-pierced hand reached out and said, “My son, get on to this hand.” It carried him across the valley, the deep valley. The more the devils jumped, the higher the hand went. The hand took him to the other side, and a voice said, “Go forward. Don’t look back.” He woke up. The Lord healed him. Millions have been healed through his prayers. So, humble yourself under the mighty hand of God. He will lift you up above every devil, every loss, every pain, and every sorrow because His hands are nail-pierced hands that bring healing to your life. Jesus loves you. He will lift you up.

Here’s a beautiful testimony. Vasant Philip completed his medical studies in the Philippines in 2022. He returned to India and wrote the qualifying medical exam. He failed again and again and again. He was attending coaching classes near the Jesus Calls Prayer Tower in Chennai. One day, he said, “Let me go to the Prayer Tower.” That day, I was there, and I prayed for him in January 2025. He wrote the exam again. The results came. Not only had he passed, but he received much more than he expected. Today, he is working as a fully licensed doctor. God will lift you up.

PRAYER: 
Loving Heavenly Father, I humble myself under Your mighty hand today. You see the depths of my despair and the heaviness in my heart. Yet I believe in Your promise that You will lift me up in due time. Even when darkness surrounds me, I trust in Your nail-pierced hands to carry me across the valleys of fear, failure, and sorrow. Strengthen me to soar like the eagle, to run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint. Be my refuge. Be my strength. Be my help in this time of trouble. I will not fear, for You are with me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
