Rise Up! Your Time Is Now
My precious friend, today’s promise is taken from Joshua 1:3, God says to Joshua, “I will give you every place where you set your foot.” This promise comes to you today. He says, “Get up!” Get up from your sluggishness. Get up from your fear. Get up from the miry clay of sin. Get up from wrong relationships. Get up from disbelief. Get out of your weakness, and step forward. God wants you to inherit the land of blessings for your life. The time has come to move forward. Today, take that step. Put your foot forward and begin to inherit all that God has prepared for you. How should your feet be for you to inherit God’s blessings? Firstly, your feet must be sanctified. Hebrews 12:13 says, “Make level paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.” In another translation, it says your feet should be sanctified just like the feet of Christ, so that Jesus can walk with you, and you with Him. Whatever sin may be besetting you today, whatever is stopping you from moving forward, ask the Lord to cleanse it. Ask Him to make your feet clean. In John 13:1–3, when Jesus knew the Father had given Him all authority, He took off His outer garment, wrapped a towel around His waist, poured water into a basin, and washed the disciples’ feet so they could follow Him into the path of righteousness and inherit the kingdom. Today, Jesus wants to wash your feet. Give Him your feet. Give Him your heart. Let Him wash away the worldliness so you can walk with Him.
Secondly, your feet must be full of peace. Ephesians 6:15 says your feet should be fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Hebrews 12:14 urges us to “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” Especially in marriage, peace between husband and wife is essential. It takes the nature of Jesus to humble oneself, to carry the other at all times, and at all costs. It takes courage to forgive, to ask for forgiveness, and to restore oneness in the relationship. As peace engulfs a marriage, that peace radiates to the children. Great shall be the peace of your children. Maintain peace with all your coworkers, neighbours, and even your enemies. Proverbs says, “If a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” Are you angry because someone took your land? Took your money and didn’t repay? Did someone stop your promotion or work against you? Forgive them. Love them. That is the path of peace. Jesus said, “If someone takes your cloak, give him your tunic as well.” Then you’ll have no enemies. You’ll walk freely into your inheritance. The one who wronged you isn’t your source of riches. The money you get back from others won’t make you wealthy. Only what God gives you will make you truly rich. “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich.” So remember, peace is the key to inheriting the land God has for you.
Thirdly, walk by the Word. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Do everything according to the Word of God. Read it. Follow it. Let your path be guided by it. This Word is coming to you today so you may follow and inherit God’s blessings.
Fourthly, proclaim the Gospel. Isaiah 52:7 says, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news.” As you proclaim that Jesus is the Saviour, Healer, and Provider, and pray for those in need, God will lift your feet to high places. Isaiah 58:14 says He will cause you to ride on the heights of the land.
Let me share with you what God did for us. Years ago, we were deep in debt, in both our family and ministry. But the Lord gave us a clear instruction: Give one-tenth of everything you receive, not only in your personal life, but also from Jesus Calls ministry, to other ministries. So even before we paid our bills, we gave one-tenth of all donations each month to support churches, care for pastors, and help the poor through Seesha. As we gave, God miraculously provided. In just a year and a half, He wiped away our debts and enabled us to reach even more people through the ministry. Even today, we have absolute sufficiency, nothing more, nothing less, to fulfill all ministry needs. I once told a group of pastors, “Give one-tenth of your church offerings to another church that’s building. Give to evangelistic, praying ministries. Give to those caring for the poor. And God will bless your church. You will multiply. Thousands of souls will be entrusted to your care. You will set your foot, and God will give you that land. No one will take it from you. No one can shake you out of it. You will be strong.” Jesus Calls has been graciously established by God for 63 years in this very way. And God will help you, too.
PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your loving promise that every place where I set my foot, You will give to me. Today, I rise from fear, sin, doubt, and everything that holds me back. Please cleanse my heart and sanctify my feet, Lord, just as Jesus washed His disciples’ feet. Make me ready to walk with You in holiness and peace. Let Your Word guide every step I take, and help me to bring the message of salvation wherever I go. Help me to forgive, release bitterness, and walk in peace with all. I surrender my life journey to You. Lead me into the land of blessing, one step at a time. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
