Reign Victorious! – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

“See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” (Matthew 21:5)
Palm Sunday signifies the end of the season of lent. Retrospectively, on the original palm sunday, Jesus entered into Jerusalem, prepared for His suffering and death on the cross. However, He was not terrified. The Bible calls the incident “triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.”  As said in today’s scripture, Matthew 21: 4, 5:.

“Say to Daughter Zion,  ‘See, your king comes to you,

gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”

Yes! Jesus, The King, entered into Jerusalem celebrating the victory on the cross, even before the crucifixion.
Many times, we see people betting on a team in sports events even before the match is played, believing that team would win. However, it can turn out to be a loss. The life of Jesus on the other hand has only victories. Yes! He has even defeated death and is alive forever more. He went through the pain and suffering of crucifixion just for us. He has already won all our battles, fears, diseases, and addictions on the cross. It is not a short-term plan, but God has the blueprint of our life’s term already planned for us. All we need to do is believe Him and invite Him into our life. With Jesus on our side, we can reign victorious.

Prayer:
Loving heavenly Father,

I thank you for sending Jesus, your beloved son, into this world just for me. I believe Jesus has suffered on the cross and won all my battles. Lord, today, I surrender all my struggles at your feet. I claim the victory of Jesus on the cross in all situations of my life. I thank you Lord for you will make me victorious. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
