Blessing Message

“As for me, I call to God, and the LORD saves me.” (Psalm 55:16)
Dear friend, today let’s meditate on the verse found in Psalm 55:16, “As for me, I call to God, and the LORD saves me.” Yes, according to this verse when we call on the Lord we will be protected, guarded and saved by the Lord. In the Bible we see Daniel’s life. It says in Daniel 6:10 that he prayed three times a day, “Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.”

Daniel had separate times in the day when we spent time with the Lord. Even though some people were against it, he had the windows wide open so that everyone could see and he kept praying to God. He never compromised his time for God for anything. Because of that people were angry and wanted to put him in the lions’ den. But no matter what they tried the Lord saved him by shutting the mouths of the lions. Yes, my friend, that is the power of prayer. Even today, you might be so strong in praying and serving God and so people might be against you, but God will not let you down. As you follow God, as you serve Him and call upon Him, God will shut the mouths of your enemies. He will break all the curses against you. Just like how it happened for Daniel, you will not just be saved but also set high before the eyes of your enemies.
 In the Bible, we also read in Psalm 55:10 about how people plotted day and night against David, but do you know what David did? As it says in Psalm 55:17, morning, noon, and night he cried out in distress to the Lord and he records that the Lord heard him. Because of that we see in Acts 13:22, “God said, ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’” Nothing of the world was able to overcome him. No plans of the enemy was able to overcome him. Jesus also said in Luke 18:1 that we should always pray and never give up. So let’s be strong and pray about everything. There’s a saying which says If you can’t stand what’s happening, kneel in prayer. So pray without ceasing and God will protect you.
Prayer:
Loving Father,

Help me pray continually and help me see miracles in my life. Save me from my enemies just like how You shut the mouths of the lions when Daniel was in the lions’ den. As I hold on to You protect me from the traps of the wicked. Give me grace to always pray and never give up on prayer kneeling before You day and night. Let people around me see Your wonders in my life.
